SYNTHESIS presents The SpeakEasy
(2nd FRIDAY of every month)
* hosted by MARIE JONES & ED FIELDS
* Contemporary Jazz sounds provided by A. KHALIS PRIDE
(The Jazz Nation, WBLZ's "Jazz Is Out There")

Every second Friday scores of professionals, lay people, media,

policitians, educators and more gather to tackle provocative issues.

There is a different discussion topic each month.

This month's discussion topic is LOCAL TERRORISM. With talks about
terrorists on an international front, many seem to have forgotten about

local terrorism staged against the Black community (and Native American

community) for years -- slavery, segregation, church bombings, land

grabs, etc.

REVIVAL is a vibe, a rhythm, a movement of nascent sounds and styles.

Remember the "blue lights in the basement" house party?  It is a

journey back in time where everyone felt free, where no one was afraid

to sweat and where the good people partied til' the sun came up.  The

sounds of heavy hitting house and spirit saving soul classics are back.

"Underground til we Underground."
